Who provides Finishwell
Finishwell is the upcoming name and goal experience of Pretext, provided by Anh Tran (tsnanh), at pretext.life. Manual goal use needs no account. We do not sell personal information or use cross-app advertising tracking.
What stays on your device
Goal titles, finish criteria, milestones, actions, notes, ideas, supporting links, optional completion photos, and earlier Pretext records are stored locally. There is no automatic goal cloud sync. Device backups depend on Apple and your settings.
Optional local reminders
When you enable a reminder, Finishwell schedules it on your device for the current landmark of your active goal. Notification text is generic and never includes your goal title, landmark text, notes, links, photos, or IDs. You control notification permission in iOS Settings.
Optional cloud assistance
After consent and Sign in with Apple, a request sends relevant selected-goal text and your instructions through our Cloudflare service to OpenRouter and the chosen AI provider. Other goals and completion photos are not automatically included; supporting links are not fetched automatically. Review suggestions before applying them. You can stop using cloud help and continue manually.
Speech is separate
Reading saved text aloud uses Apple speech synthesis on your device. Finishwell does not record your microphone or send audio to our AI service. Asking AI to generate a catch-up first is a separate cloud request covered above.
Analytics and purchases
Optional TelemetryDeck analytics are enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. They contain product events, coarse counts, app/device metadata, and an anonymous installation identifier—not goal text, notes, photos, or chat content. Apple processes payments; RevenueCat verifies products, renewal, and entitlement status. Apple’s opaque account identifier connects authenticated cloud access and purchases. We do not receive full payment-card details.
Service operation and retention
Our service does not retain goal prompts or generated content. Authentication, usage, entitlement, and budget records are retained to operate and protect the service; existing login nonces expire within 15 minutes, daily and weekly counters within 2 and 8 days, and budget counters within 62 days. AI providers apply their own processing and retention policies. Processing may occur outside your country. No storage or transmission is completely risk-free.
Your controls
Keep cloud help off, disable analytics, export your records, or delete local data in Settings. Deleting the app can remove local data; backups are controlled separately. Sharing a file or photo sends it to the destination you choose. Contact us about access, correction, or deletion of support information, subject to applicable law. The app is not directed to children under 13.
This website and support
This static website uses no advertising or product-analytics cookies. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request details for delivery and security. Emailing support shares your email, message, and attachments; we retain these only as reasonably needed for support, safety, and legal obligations. We will update this policy when practices change.
